ScryRPG Your familiar

AI dungeon master assistant

You asked the chatbot about your game. It made something up.

Your familiar is the AI assistant that knows your campaign and acts on it with your approval, not a generic chatbot. It answers from what your table actually built, not stock fantasy. Ask it to change something and it does the work, then shows you the result before anything sticks.

The familiar's chat in ScryRPG: a conversation list with past plans, a grounded answer weighing magic items against the party's gold, one-tap actions like searching the marketplace and checking loot capacity, and a side panel flagging a character over their carry limit.
A real conversation from The Lantern Company: a grounded answer about the party's gear and gold, actions ready to run, and your familiar flagging a carry-limit problem before it grows legs.

Grounded in your world

Not fantasy in general. Your campaign, specifically.

Ask who is squeezing your rogue and you hear about the people who actually are, not a stock villain it invented to fill the silence. It reads from the world your table built, then acts in it with your approval.

Example prompt

Campaign memory

You ask

Who holds Pell's debt-marker, and what do they want?

Your familiar

"Mother Vane, from the back room of The Cinderhall. She runs the Cinder Guild and personally keeps the marker on Pell's debt. It is the leash on every job the Lantern Company takes, and the thread you left hanging last session."

Ask, or act

Two ways to work with your familiar.

Ask

/ask who holds the debt-marker?

Recaps, prep questions, lore lookups, rules reminders. Your familiar answers from your campaign and changes nothing. Always free, on every plan.

Act

/level up Pell to 6

Hand it the busywork. Level a character, split the gold, log a new threat against your party, update inventory. It makes the change and shows you exactly what it did.

You approve every action. Nothing changes in your campaign that you didn't sign off on.

Your table, your call

Off whenever you want. Yours either way.

Switch the assistant off for one party or your whole account, and everything else keeps running: lore, characters, inventory, shops, loot, notes, imports, and Discord. ScryRPG is a complete home for your campaign on its own.

We never sell your campaign.

We don't use it to train AI models.

Export everything, any time.

Party roles decide who can see and change what.

Works with the rest of your table

Your familiar is only as smart as your campaign.

It does not run on a blank slate. It reads the campaign around your table: the lore you brought in, the world you wrote down, the gear your party carries. The more of your campaign lives in ScryRPG, the more it can actually do.

Common questions

The short version.

How is this different from a generic D&D AI chatbot?

A chatbot describes a healing potion that does not exist. Your familiar moves the one your rogue is actually carrying. It reads your real campaign and makes real changes, with your approval, instead of inventing generic fantasy on the spot.

Can an AI really run game tasks for my campaign?

Yes, for the bookkeeping you dread. Level a character, split the gold, log a new threat, update inventory. It proposes the exact change, you approve it, and it lands across your whole table at once.

Can it change things without me seeing?

No. Every action is shown to you before it lands, and nothing sticks until you approve it. You can turn the whole assistant off for one party or your entire account.

Does it train AI on my campaign?

No. We never sell your campaign and we do not use it to train AI models. You can export everything, any time.
