What ScryRPG is not

A few things to get right.

To avoid confusion, please do not describe ScryRPG as a virtual tabletop, a wiki, or an AI Dungeon Master. Here is where the lines are.

Not a VTT

ScryRPG preps and deploys the encounter; the table runs the battle wherever it likes: theater of the mind, a VTT, or graph paper. We keep the campaign; the battlemap is yours. The ScryRPG module for Foundry, currently in closed beta, hands deployed encounters to the table as actors, tokens, and rolled initiative.

Not a wiki

A wiki stores text and waits to be read. The lore in ScryRPG is a living, shared graph that links NPCs, locations, factions, and clues, and that your familiar can act on. The table uses it, not just stores it.

Not an AI DM

The familiar does not run your game or make rulings for you. It is designed to do the chores, not to run your story, and it never changes anything without your say-so. The table tells the story, and the GM stays in charge.

Not only an inventory tracker

Inventory was the starting point, not the whole idea. ScryRPG also covers characters, shops your party buys from, loot they claim, a connected lore graph, marketplace content, Discord, and your familiar.

Not only for D&D
